Dr. George R. Schade specializes in urologic oncology treating patients with bladder, kidney, prostate and testicular cancers as well as germ cell tumors.

George R. Schade, MD, is involved in research alongside seeing patients in clinic. His primary research interest is in technology development aimed at improving urologic cancer diagnosis and treatment. In particular, he is working to develop a non-invasive ultrasound-based treatment for kidney cancer and exploring novel ultrasound techniques to improve the diagnosis of prostate cancer. He also studies the impact of urologic cancers on patients’ quality of life and has an ongoing clinical trial aimed at reducing post-operative pain following cystectomy for bladder cancer.
