- Assistant Professor, Department of Radiology, University of Washington School of Medicine
- Medical Education: Baylor College of Medicine
- Residency: Vascular and Interventional Radiology, UW Medicine
Dr. George Soltes went to the Baylor College of Medicine where he received training in diagnostic radiology. He came to the University of Washington for advanced fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology. “I became a doctor when I realized I couldn’t make a living as an English major,” he says.
When it comes to working with cancer patients, Dr. Soltes finds it “rewarding to watch patients get better and get on with their lives.”
“In my lifetime, I hope to see more targeted treatments that treat the cancer with minimal systemic effects for the patient,” he says.
Outside of work, Dr. Soltes likes to spend time running, hiking, climbing, reading, and hanging out with his kids.
