The branch of medicine a provider practices and their areas of focus
I am a board-certified hematologist-oncologist who specializes in treating patients with cancers of the blood and a variety of non-malignant blood conditions, such as clotting disorders, autoimmune disorders and anemias. For nearly 20 years, I have provided clinical care to this subset of patients at SCCA and Harborview Medical Center. I also serve as the chief medical information officer at SCCA. In this role, I use bioinformatics and technology to improve patient care, for example, implementing and maintaining a sophisticated electronic medical records system.
