Shine offers essential oncology products, services and guidance. Many of the products are custom measured and personal, requiring your presence in the store. Shine offers delivery and is not an online retailer. Your purchase helps support patient and family services at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA). That's right, it's retail therapy that helps others.

Important notice

As part of our continued efforts to protect our patients and staff from COVID-19, Shine is open by appointment only for patients who need post-surgical camisoles, compression garments, mastectomy bras and breast prostheses. Shine also invites the community to schedule an appointment for safe, in-store shopping of all our offerings, including apparel, gifts, stationery and more.

Our story

Oncology patients have particular needs that go beyond those services provided by the medical community. The Shine staff are collaborative partners guiding you through an unfamiliar process in a friendly and non-clinical atmosphere. Our knowledgeable and approachable team knows the questions to ask and can recommend products and educate you about those things you might not even know you need.

What makes our shop unique is the thoughtful gathering of necessary oncology products and supportive services that you can't typically find in one spot.

SCCA is an extraordinary group whose sole mission is the pursuit of better, longer, richer lives for our patients. Oncology products

Shine offers products and services to support the cancer treatment and recovery experience.  

We offer support and products for:

  • Mastectomy 
  • Compression therapy 
  • Consultations   
    • Head coverings
    • Wig fittings
    • Sexual intimacy
    • Skin health
    • Apparel

New patients can expect to spend 60 to 90 minutes with a certified fitter to fill out paper work, be measured, and review and try out product. If you would like to request an appointment, email or call (206) 606-7560.

Private insurance typically covers two new bras every six months and prosthetics every two years.

Complimentary wig trims and head shaves

At Shine, we are pleased to offer complimentary wig trims and head shaves. Head shaves are performed by licensed cosmetologist. An appointment is needed for head shaves to ensure that a licensed cosmetologist is on site at the time you'd like this service performed. The facts

Insurance claims

Shine is happy to courtesy bill Medicare but is unable to bill Medicaid. We will gladly provide documentation upon request for your individual, private insurance claims. (Applicable for wigs, compression products, mastectomy products, and canes.)

Payment methods including HSA cards

Shine accepts VISA, Mastercard, and cash payments for products and services. We do not accept personal checks.

Return policy

Edibles, sale items and goods processed for insurance are not returnable.  All returns require the sales receipt and tags affixed, within 15 days of purchase.  Defective merchandise is always returnable.  Please Note:  Breast forms, bathing suits, undergarments, compression goods, intimacy items and wigs are non-returnable.  Shine will accept returns of substandard (less than full quality for the particular item) or unsuitable items (inappropriate for the beneficiary at the time it was fitted or sold) from beneficiaries.
