Patients at SCCA are also taken care of by a team of nurses and advanced practice providers who specialize in the patient's disease and who meet regularly to discuss each patient’s options.

Dr. Blau is a hematology oncologist who specializes in bone marrow transplantation for blood disorders, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndrome.

Dr. Halpern is a hematologist-oncologist and clinical researcher. Her research is focused on patients with hematologic malignancies, specifically acute myeloid leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia and primary myelofibrosis.
