She will be responsible for overseeing all nursing staff, guiding patient care delivery, ensuring staff accountability for providing a patient-centered clinical practice environment, and overseeing general clinical quality and patient safety.
SEATTLE – (March 3, 2017) – Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Executive Vice President Norman (“Norm”) E. Hubbard received a gold “Outstanding Medical Center Executive - Seattle” award from Seattle Business magazine. The award was presented to Hubbard at the magazine’s eighth annual Health Care Leader awards event, held in Seattle at Bell Harbor Convention Center on March 2.

SEATTLE – (Feb. 21, 2017) – Seattle Cancer Care Alliance partnered with Washington Aisles Alliance, a consortium of local grocery retailers, manufacturers, product representatives and distributors for an inaugural Game Changer fundraising event in January. More than 300 people attended the event, raising $360,750 for Fred Hutch, Seattle Children’s and UW Medicine through Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
SEATTLE – (Dec. 20, 2016) – The Fred Hutch Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance has earned recognition by the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research for outperforming its expected one-year survival rates for allogeneic transplant patients – those who receive donated adult blood-forming stem cells.
SEATTLE – (December 13, 2016) – Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) announced today that glassybaby has provided $25,000 to support a newly named scholarship for SCCA nurses and oncology nurse students training at area universities and colleges. The Rosemary Ford Future of Oncology Nursing Scholarship has been created to honor Rosemary Ford’s 40-year legacy of nurturing the continuum of education in the nursing profession throughout SCCA.
SEATTLE – (December 8, 2016) – Swim Across America (SAA), a non-profit dedicated to raising money for cancer research, prevention and treatment through swimming-related events, presented a check to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) this week totaling $425,000. Funds raised during the SAA’s eighth annual Seattle Open Water Swim, which surpassed prior records, will benefit SCCA’s Swim Across America Cellular Therapy Lab, as well as pancreatic cancer research.
SEATTLE – (November 28, 2016) – Physicians and researchers from Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) have been awarded grants from Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) funds raised by the 2016 Pink Boat Regatta, the largest independent fundraiser in the nation supporting the BCRF. Since the first race in 2012, the Pink Boat Regatta has raised more than $320,000 for local breast cancer research.
