Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is committed to asking and answering the most complex and important questions about health and disease — and your support makes it possible. Together, we’re developing personalized and effective cancer treatments, finding new ways to stop viruses, tackling deep-seated inequities that cost lives, and more. 

Your gift to Fred Hutch ultimately supports our commitment to preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer and discovering cures for patients and families who need them. If you would like to remember a loved one with your gift, please include their name with your donation. You may also make your gift in honor of a physician, nurse or caregiver

Caregiver A person who gives care to people who need help, such as children, older people or patients who have chronic illnesses or disabilities. A person who gives care to people who need help taking care of themselves, such as children, older people or patients who have chronic illnesses or disabilities. Caregivers may be health professionals, family members, friends, social workers or members of the clergy. They may give care at home, in a hospital or in another health care setting.

Memorial and tribute gifts

A gift to Fred Hutch is a thoughtful way to honor a loved one who was treated for cancer. 

Make a gift in the name of a loved one

Make a gift online and include the name of the person you are remembering or honoring along with your donation. If you would like Fred Hutch to notify the family or honoree of your gift, please include their name and address in the ‘tribute card’ field of the donation form. 

Create a memorial fund

If you would like to direct family and friends to make a donation to Fred Hutch in lieu of flowers, please call (206) 667-4399 or email and our team will be happy to assist you in creating a memorial fund.

Fred Hutch will send an acknowledgment letter to all donors who give to the fund. We will also notify the designated next-of-kin of these gifts with a beautiful, handwritten card. 

You may provide these instructions to family and friends who wish to donate to the fund: 

"Donations in lieu of flowers may be made online at or sent to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, 1100 Fairview Ave N, Mail Stop J5-200, Seattle, WA 98109. Checks may be made payable to Fred Hutch with indication that they are in memory of [name].” 

Give through your will

In-kind donations

Due to COVID-19, we are taking the appropriate steps to keep our patients, volunteers, employees, and visitors as safe as possible. Out of an abundance of caution, we are limiting the in-kind donation items we can accept for our patients.

Wig donations

At this time, we are only accepting new and unused wigs. Please contact about a donation.

Hygiene kits

We are accepting small hygiene kits (tissues, wipes, sanitizer, etc.) to provide to our patients staying in patient housing. Please contact about donating.

Your gift is tax deductible as specified in IRS regulations. Pursuant to RCW 19.09, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is registered as a charitable organization with the Secretary of State, State of Washington.

Please note: fresh flowers, plants, decorative moss, pumpkins, live Christmas trees, wreaths and pets are not allowed in patients’ hospital rooms, clinics or apartments because of the organisms that can cause bacterial and fungal infections.
