Support SCCA House
Families with a loved one facing cancer look for the best possible place to receive their care. But often the best place is located far from home, even out of state. Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is one of those centers, providing leading-edge, compassionate care — care informed by unparalleled research activities and extensive experience with patients with cancer.
Although everyone deserves the best in cancer care, the best is sometimes out of reach. Many people struggle to cover the expenses of cancer treatment, let alone the extra expenses of food, shelter, and transportation required by a stay in Seattle. Some patients forgo treatment altogether because they simply can’t afford it.
SCCA House opened September 28, 2009. This new 80-unit housing facility is conveniently located close to SCCA and has many features and amenities. It will be a home away from home for patients and families during treatment to feel safe in a strange city.
How you can help
Keeping patient housing affordable is vital to the healing process, and our goal is to raise enough money to provide housing to families for whom the modest costs of staying in SCCA House would still be too high. With your help, we can help more cancer patients — especially the patients who need us most. For more information about supporting SCCA House and the SCCA’s patients and families, please contact:
