Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, UW Medicine, and Seattle Children's form the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Northwest. This group of organizations is one of the top-funded cancer centers in the country.
In 2014, more than 300 oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and other clinicians treated over 6,000 patients for many types of cancers including leukemia and lymphoma and breast, prostate, lung, and colon cancers. SCCA patients have access to the latest cancer treatments including stem cell and bone marrow transplantation, gene therapy, high-dose chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and other specialized therapies. SCCA has five clinical care sites: an outpatient clinic on the Hutchinson Center campus, a pediatric inpatient unit at Seattle Children’s, an adult inpatient unit at UW Medical Center, a medical oncology clinic at EvergreenHealth, and medical and radiation oncology clinics at UW Medicine’s Northwest Hospital & Medical Center.
In 2013, SCCA opened the region’s first proton therapy center on UW Medicine's Northwest Hospital & Medical Center campus. For more information on career openings at SCCA Proton Therapy, a ProCure Center, please visit the website or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
