Housing in Seattle

As a business hub to the Pacific Rim and a major tourist destination, Seattle has a wide range of hotels to fit virtually all tastes and budgets.

Many hotels in Seattle offer discounted rates to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance patients and their families. Some provide transportation to and from SCCA as well. Some offer complementary breakfast, and a few have kitchen facilities.

The international patient liaison will help you make hotel reservations. Click here for a list of hotels that are convenient to SCCA.

The Pete Gross House is a 69-unit apartment building designed to serve people with cancer who are receiving care at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Reasonably priced, furnished apartments range in size from studios, which sleep one or two people, to two-bedroom, two-bath apartments that sleep a maximum of six.

The Pete Gross House is close to SCCA, and shuttle transportation to the SCCA clinic is available five days a week. The shuttle also provides transportation to grocery stores.

Apartments come with all kitchen appliances, including dishwashers and microwaves; washers and dryers; televisions and VCRs; and bed linens and towels.

Rates start at $45 per night (plus a 15.6 percent hotel sales tax) for a furnished studio apartment. A two-bedroom apartment costs $93 to $102 a night, plus hotel tax. Monthly rates are also available.

Because the Pete Gross House is a popular housing choice for SCCA patients, there is usually a waiting list for apartments. Ask the international patient liaison to make housing arrangements as soon as you know your arrival date.
