Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Get Information by Diagnosis
welcome to the scca womens center

Dedicated Care for Women
When the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance decided to open the Women's Center, we went straight to the experts—women like you, SCCA patients and former patients—for advice.

We asked them what the ideal women’s center would be like, and they told us.

We asked them about privacy, comfort, colors, traffic patterns, and floor plans. Did they prefer windows in the exam rooms, or not? We asked what kind of furniture they wanted in the waiting areas and how it should be arranged.

With input from this patient advisory group, we created the Women's Center. We hope you will find that it is a place that welcomes and supports you through all phases of cancer treatment, from diagnosis to follow-up.

The Women's Center was designed to offer you the best possible medical care, and so much more: an understanding of the female perspective on health and illness, spiritual and emotional support, and help to strengthen your coping skills. It is a place where our providers don't treat you like a diagnosis, but see you as a whole person, a woman who happens to have cancer.

If you come to SCCA, you will see doctors who are leaders in breast and gynecologic cancer care. Your health-care team will talk to each other—and to you—to help you choose the best treatment for you, one that takes into account not only the type of cancer you have, but your values, beliefs, and lifestyle.
