The Department of Radiology provides medical imaging and diagnostic services that support the patient care, clinical research, and teaching of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington Medical Center, and Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center.

Radiology services include:

  • Conventional radiography (X-rays)
  • Interventional radiologic/fluoroscopic procedures
  • Computed tomography (CT)
  • Digital Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Ultrasonography
  • Nuclear medicine
  • Full-field digital mammography
  • Mammographic Procedures, including ultrasound (US) and Stereotactic breast biopsies
  • Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) - bone density scans

Services available (performed at University of Washington Medical Center or Children's Hospital & Regional Medical Center) include:

  • Positron emission tomography (PET)
  • PET/CT
  • Angiography
  • Complex interventional procedures
  • Biopsies
