Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Get Information by Diagnosis
SCCA Breast Cancer Specialty Center

One-on-One Appointments

Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and its parent organizations, UW Medicine and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, have brought together a world-class team of expert breast cancer physicians who focus exclusively on treating women with breast cancer.

Whether you see these doctors as a team in the Breast Cancer Specialty Center or individually through the Breast Cancer Program, they will offer you compassionate, individualized care as well as access to new treatments and procedures, some based on research by the same doctors who will be treating you.

Women who are newly diagnosed
Women who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer will meet with this team of breast specialists at the Breast Cancer Specialty Center. However, if you would prefer you may see an individual doctor, usually a breast surgeon initially, rather than the entire team.

The doctor who diagnosed your cancer can refer you to see a breast surgeon at SCCA, or you may self-refer by calling (206) 288-7222.

Women who are in cancer treatment
Women who are currently in cancer treatment at SCCA will have regular appointments with their doctors at the Women's Center. Depending on the type of treatment you are receiving, you will see a surgeon, medical oncologist, or radiation oncologist.

If you are undergoing chemotherapy, you will receive treatment in the Infusion Suite on the fifth floor of the SCCA clinic. Radiation therapy appointments are on the first floor, and our patients have surgery at University of Washington Medical Center.

Women who have finished cancer treatment
Women who have completed their cancer treatment will come to the Women's Center for follow-up appointments. They may also consult with our experts in the Women’s Wellness Clinic for help with nutrition, fitness, and more.

Women who have recurrent or metastatic disease
Women with recurrent or metastatic breast cancer will also be seen by individual doctors in the Breast Cancer Program.
