SCCA Breast Cancer Specialty Center

Kelly and Diane | Breast Cancer Survivors

Kelly and her mother, Diane, went through breast cancer treatment at the same time. "One thing I'm grateful for, for Kelly and for myself," Diane says, "is that the doctors at SCCA go the extra mile. They go above and beyond what I might receive at other places." Read Kelly & Diane's Story >

Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer among women in the United States. About 1,700 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

Breast cancer can be a very curable disease, especially if it is detected at its earliest stages.

When cancer forms in the breast, it is usually grows in the milk ducts and lobules (the glands that make milk). Even when breast cancer cells spread to other parts of the body, it is still called breast cancer.

At Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, patients receive state-of-the-art care by a team of breast specialists who focus exclusively on treating women with breast cancer.
Here's what you can expect:

  • Compassionate, leading-edge care by a team of breast specialists — doctors who focus exclusively on treating women with breast cancer who will work together, and with you, to help you decide what kind of care is right for you. Once you've decided on a treatment plan, your team will continue to work closely together during your treatment at SCCA and afterward during follow-up visits.

  • Access to new treatments, procedures, and clinical trials

  • State-of-the-art diagnostics and imaging. Mammograms, ultrasounds, and other types of breast imaging are performed by doctors who are leaders in the field and who specialize in caring for women with breast cancer.

  • Outstanding support for you and your family while you are going through treatment. At SCCA, you'll find support groups, patient education, help to look your best while in cancer treatment, even an exercise program just for women with cancer.
