Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Get Information by Diagnosis

Testicular Cancer

Testicular cancer is an uncommon form of cancer typically affecting young men ages 15 to 34. With good treatment from experienced doctors, testicular cancer is highly curable. As with other cancers, the sooner the disease is diagnosed and treated, the better the outcome.

Because young people do not expect to get cancer, they sometimes ignore warning signs. It is important to see your doctor if you notice a lump in your testicle or experience any other worrisome symptoms such as excessive tiredness, swollen or painful breasts, or a heavy feeling or ache in the lower abdomen or scrotum.

As a young man, you may feel embarrassed talking about these symptoms. Those feelings are perfectly understandable, but you need to know if you have cancer. You can expect our health care teams to treat you with respect and sensitivity.

It is important that you receive care from an experienced and dedicated health care team. At Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), we offer the best, most current treatment methods available, including clinical trials of new and promising treatments.
