The best modern cancer treatment requires an interdisciplinary team approach. Our patients are treated by as many different specialists as are needed for the various aspects of their disease--although there is almost always one primary doctor who coordinates each patient's care.

At Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), specialized physician teams are available to treat every type of cancer there is. Each team includes surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists and other health professionals with expertise in that particular area. This approach brings together the knowledge and expertise necessary for optimal patient care.

At SCCA, our teams consist of physicians from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Hutchinson Center), University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC), and Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center (CHRMC) with who have unequaled skill and expertise in their subspecialties of care. We continually evaluate different treatment options, learn which offer better results, and build an ever more refined system for managing the care of our patients from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship and wellness.

Every SCCA clinician understands cancer, and knows how it affects the lives of patients and loved ones. Each SCCA clinician is fully prepared to treat the whole patient -- and every facet of his or her disease -- with the highest quality cancer care available.
