Safe food selection and food handling are important parts infection prevention.  Food safety in the grocery store, home, and restaurants will be discussed. Learn how to avoid food-born illness.

Managing Care at Home

This class includes:

  • An overview of the Bone Marrow at Home and Review of Transplant Transplant Process
  • A review of the patient/caregiver role
  • Available resources and adjusting to recovery at home
  • Managing symptoms (mucositis, dehydration, diarrhea, bleeding and breathing problems) and
  • Infection prevention 
  • What to expect at different phases of transplant
