Two resource centers—with support that includes lending libraries, notary service, showers, massage, and laundry—are available for families of children and teens who are patients of Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA).
The Family Resource Center (FRC) at Seattle Children’s is located on level 7 near the Frog elevators. Services include an extensive collection of reference materials, parent massage, computers with Internet access, 24-hour showers, laundry, and free coffee. The FRC is open daily. For hours and other information, call (206) 987-2201.
The Patient & Family Resource Center is located on the third floor of the SCCA outpatient clinic on Lake Union. In addition to a lending library, the center offers free wig-fitting, notary service, and use of computers with Internet access, fax machine, copier, and printer.
An additional resource is the Cancer Library for cancer patients and families, located at University of Washington Medical Center on floor 8-SE. It has books, tapes, videos, and computers to access the Internet.
