Jesse Jones at KING 5 News reported about a 36-year-old woman who was denied coverage for a mammogram that her doctor recommended because of her high risk for developing breast cancer. The story included an interview with SCCA’s Dr. Lehman about screening for women at a high risk for breast cancer, and resulted in the health care plan reviewing their mammogram policy. Read more.

Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Proton Therapy, A ProCure Center, has recruited two expert radiation oncologists from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Ramesh Rengan joins SCCA Proton Therapy as the new associate medical director, and Dr. Smith “Jim” Apisarnthanarax joins as a practicing radiation oncologist.
