SCCA and ProCure Treatment Centers, Inc. announced the opening of Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Proton Therapy, A ProCure Center today in Seattle, Washington. Located on UW Medicine’s Northwest Hospital & Medical Center campus, the facility is the only proton therapy center in a seven-state region and the fourth in a nationwide network of proton therapy centers developed by ProCure. Earlier this month representatives from Swim Across America Seattle presented SCCA with a $180,000 check, raised from September's swim on Lake Washington. The funds will support the Pancreas Cancer Specialty Clinic and research conducted through SCCA’s Cellular Therapy Lab, which helps physicians improve their ability to treat blood cancers.
