Katie Kemble, DNP, FNP-C, AOCNP
Dr. Katie Kemble is an advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner at the Wenatchee Valley Medical Center and a clinical instructor at the UW School of Nursing. She has a special interest in translational research, cancer survivorship, and cancer rehabilitation. In 2006, she conducted of a research project funded by the U.S. Army Medical Research and Material Command, which looked at the effects of low to moderate exercise on fatigue in breast cancer survivors. Katie has Level I and II Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training. She is also one of the founders and president of the E.A.S.E. Cancer Foundation (Exercise and Survivorship Education) and is dedicated to providing innovative educational programs for cancer survivors and enhancing cancer services in rural communities.
While extremely devoted to her medical career and family, Katie enjoys hiking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, traveling, and music. She's had a passion for climbing and donated time in the past to the climbing community as director of both Leavenworth Alpine Guides and Chelan County Mountain Rescue in Wenatchee. She served on the board of directors as secretary for the American Mountain Guides Association during its initial years of development and has taught Wilderness Medicine in the United States and Central America.
