Jeffrey Monson, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Monson doesn't have a lengthy explanation for why he became a doctor. He was simply fascinated by the ability to heal people. He wanted to understand how a person could apply technology and knowledge to the healing process.

After earning a bachelor of science degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, Dr. Monson moved to St. Louis where he attended Saint Louis University Medical School. Upon earning his medical degree, Dr. Monson moved back to Washington State to complete a surgical internship and a general surgery residency within the University of Washington School of Medicine system. It was here that Dr. Monson gained valuable experience in gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery with a focus on surgical oncology.

Now certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Monson practices medicine at Wenatchee Valley Medical Center, a Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Network Member.

“I think our affiliation with SCCA will help our patients gain better access to services and trials that we don't offer here in Wenatchee,” he says.

Dr. Monson is married with two “wonderful” children. When not at the clinic, he enjoys hiking and camping with his family. He also enjoys taking advantage of the Northwest winters to go telemark skiing.
