Donna Kentley, PA-C

Photo of Dr. Kentley“The purpose of my work is to ensure my patients get the best care,” says Donna Kentley, PA-C (certified physician assistant). “I also ensure that they understand their therapies and are confident in the medical team that’s taking care of them.”

Donna Kentley supports the oncologists by seeing patients for routine follow-ups for breast, colon, and ovarian cancers, or hematologic (blood related) malignancies. She also provides chemotherapy treatment and performs bone marrow biopsies as well as follow-ups for toxicity issues from treatment.

Being part of a patient’s care “in the most critical time in their lives” is the most rewarding part of her job, Kentley says. “I help answer all their questions in a way they can understand, so they can make the best and most informed decisions. I include friends and family if they come along for the appointment. That helps everyone feel more secure about their medical care.”

Kentley spends a lot of time collaborating with primary care physicians and specialists through phone calls and our electronic medical records.

When she isn’t working, Kentley enjoys hiking, biking and running half marathons.
