Overview

When you have cancer, choosing the right place to go for treatment can be a difficult decision.

If you live in the central Washington region, you may prefer to stay in your community and receive cancer treatment at a hospital you know and trust. At the same time, you probably want access to the latest treatment options, including those only available in clinical trials or at a comprehensive cancer center. Now you can have both.

The network relationship between Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) and Confluence Health gives you the best of both worlds—care in your own community by skilled and dedicated oncologists, nurses, and staff, plus access to the resources of SCCA and its founding organizations.

Confluence Health was formed in 2013 as an affiliation between Wenatchee Valley Medical Center and Central Washington Hospital, to create an integrated rural health care delivery system that includes two hospitals, multi-specialty care in over 30 service lines, and primary care in ten communities across North Central Washington. With over 225 physicians and 100 advanced practice clinicians, we serve an area of approximately 12,000 square miles, and cover nearly every corner of this region through specialty outreach.

The relationship between SCCA and Confluence Health gives you more choices. More choices mean the end to one-size-fits-all cancer care.

  • Your oncologist at Confluence Health may consult with SCCA oncologists about your diagnosis and treatment.
  • You may seek a second opinion from doctors at SCCA.
  • If you and your doctors decide that a clinical trial is right for you, you can participate in the trial at Confluence Health.
  • If you choose, you may ask for a referral and receive your treatment at SCCA.
  • Your local doctor will remain involved in your care.
