Description of Scope:

A. Summary of Services:

The Department of Radiology provides diagnostic services that support the patient care, clinical research, and teaching endeavors of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Hutchinson Center), the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC), and Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center (CHRMC). Upon the order of a licensed referring physician affiliated with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), the Department of Radiology serves cancer patients with a full range of modalities, including:

  • Conventional Radiography
  • Interventional Radiologic/Fluoroscopic Procedures
  • Computed Tomography
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Ultrasonography
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Mammographic Procedures, including US and Stereotactic Breast Biopsies
  • DEXA
  • Full-Field Digital Mammography
  • CAD

Services available, but not on site (performed at University of Washington Medical Canter or Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center are the following:

  • PET
  • Angiography
  • Complex Interventional Procedures
  • Biopsies
