Busulfan Lab (Pharmacokinetics Lab)

What we do

The Pharmacokinetics Lab, often referred to as the Busulfan Lab, specializes in Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) of busulfan. This drug is an alkylating agent widely used in various chemotherapy regimens for hematopoietic cell transplantation and bone marrow transplantation. Being one of the most highly regarded laboratories in the medical community, we provide excellent clinical services to more than 75 institutions across USA and Canada.

Why use our services?

One-stop service for busulfan targeting
We offer a complete package of services from sample concentration analyses to dose recommendations. As the physician receives our report, he or she is ready to administer the next dose with greater confidence. Better yet, our lab operates from Monday to Saturday to accommodate patients’ treatment or transplant schedules.

Fast turn-around time
Subsequent dose recommendation and busulfan level results are usually available after 3 hours of the sample’s arrival on site. A verbal report is delivered by direct communication with the attending physician. Then, a formal hard copy report is faxed to designated recipients.

Professional consultation always available
We always have a pharmacokinetics specialist on site to answer physician’s questions.

Well trained staff with extensive experience
We have more than 15 years of experience in busulfan TDM. Every staff member is professionally trained in related scientific or medical fields.
