Jing Zeng, MD

Dr. Zeng is a radiation oncologist who specializes in treating lung cancer, thoracic malignancies, and genitourinary tumors, including prostate cancer, using the latest technologies and available clinical trials.

Patient Care Philosophy:

The patient-physician relationship should be a team effort, working together to achieve the same goal. As the physician, I will help the patient understand the diagnosis and available treatment options. Ultimately, the patient chooses the treatment path, but it is my duty to ensure that patients have all the information needed to feel confident in the decision. Cancer is a frightening diagnosis, and even though I cannot always cure my patients, I will always care for each one.

Dr. Zeng's Story

Dr. Jing Zeng is a radiation oncologist who specializes in treating lung cancer,  thoracic malignancies, and prostate cancer. Her goal is to improve the lives of the patients she sees. “I enjoy caring for others,” she says. “I want to be there for them in their battle, and fight against their illness.”

Cancer is a serious and frightening illness for most people. Ultimately, the patient chooses the treatment path. Dr Zeng makes it her duty to ensure that patients have all the information needed to feel confident in their decision. “Nothing would make me happier than to abolish cancer entirely,” she says.

During medical school at Duke University and on into residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Zeng was involved in clinical research and translational lab research. Her research at SCCA involves finding novel medicines that make radiation treatment more effective or reduce its side effects. She is also studying new technologies to make radiation delivery safer and more accurate.

Dr. Zeng, like many Pacific Northwest natives, loves the outdoors and is an avid hiker, biker, and kayaker.
