Dr. Lee's Story
Christoph I. Lee, MD is an assistant professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
He first decided to become a doctor in order “to impact individual lives for the better.” When it comes to caring for patients, his philosophy is to provide empathetic, individualized, and evidence-based medical care to all.
“I chose to work with cancer patients to be able to advocate for them during their most trying and vulnerable time periods in their lives,” he says.
As a breast imager, Dr. Lee’s research is focused on the clinical effectiveness and cost effectiveness of emerging and advanced breast imaging technologies.
“In my lifetime, I hope to witness the discovery of more effective prevention measures for breast cancer as well as a more sensitive and specific screening study,” he says.
Outside of work, Dr. Lee enjoys spending quality time with his growing family.
