Facilities & Services

SCCA Radiation Oncology at Northwest Hospital & Medical Center serves adults who need radiation therapy for any primary cancer, including breast, colon, lung, and prostate cancer. Our radiation oncologists are UW Medicine doctors who work closely with you and other members of your care team, such as medical oncologists and surgical oncologists, to coordinate the components of your treatment in order to achieve the best possible results. They design an individualized treatment plan for you and use state-of-the-art equipment and technology to target tumors and minimize damage to healthy tissue.

Among other advanced equipment, the center features a new Elekta Synergy linear accelerator. It is the world’s first fully digital radiation therapy treatment system with integrated 3-D imaging, enabling clinicians to see a tumor at the very moment of treatment. This results in more accurate delivery of radiation to treat your cancer while also reducing side effects. The facility also has a GE 16-slice, wide-bore CT scanner to assist in radiation therapy planning.
