Practitioner Profile

Jennifer Brackensick Grant worked in research before joining a career in healthcare. "I was constantly asking people for samples (for my research) and they had a hard time providing," Jennifer says. "I wanted to give back to those who really need help."

Caring for cancer patients can be challenging, "but it provides opportunities to educate and solve problems," she says. "That is what I like to do most." In her lifetime, Jennifer hopes to see research discover new ways to treat sarcoma. "We are still looking for that magic wand that removes pain and/or nausea, too."

When she isn't working, Jennifer loves to be outdoors. But she enjoys knitting, baking, and getting crafty, too.
