Overview

Patients at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) receive radiation therapy from leading radiation oncologists who specialize in particular cancers and are experts in their field. We design individualized treatment plans to target your tumor and minimize the effects on healthy tissue. Your team also works closely with you to manage any side effects and help you take the best possible care of yourself during treatment.

Along with our radiation oncology services at SCCA, we provide treatment in a community setting at SCCA Radiation Oncology on the campus of Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, including Proton Therapy, which will be available in 2013. SCCA patients may also receive radiation therapy at University of Washington Medical Center. These facilities feature state-of-the-art equipment to help your team plan and deliver effective treatment. We offer a range of radiation therapy services, including access to the latest and most innovative options through clinical trials.

In 2011, SCCA broke ground on a new proton therapy center—the first such center in the Pacific Northwest—slated to open in 2013. Proton therapy allows physicians to deliver more targeted, higher-dose radiation with less side-scatter and reduced side effects. Bringing proton therapy here will greatly enhance cancer care for patients throughout the region.
