The pediatric bone-marrow transplant team at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is directed by Dr. Jean Sanders, a leader in the field of pediatric transplants.


In addition to the medical oncologists who will be caring for your child, your care team will include pediatric nurses, pediatric physician assistants, child life therapists, pediatric social workers, pediatric dieticians, and more.

 
The Bone-Marrow Transplant Team:


 

Lauri M. Burroughs, MD

Dr. Burroughs specializes in bone marrow transplantation for the treatment of patients with childhood cancers and nonmalignant disorders. In particular, she has an interest in patients with primary immunodeficiency disorders, metabolic disorders, and marrow failure.

 

 

 

Paul A. Carpenter, MD

Dr. Carpenter is a pediatric hematology oncologist. He treats children with autoimmune diseases, leukemia, and lymphoma. Additionally, he is part of the Long Term Follow-up team for adult services. Read more about Dr. Carpenter and his work at SCCA.

 

 

 

Jean E. Sanders, MD

Ann E. Woolfrey, MD

Dr. Woolfrey is a pediatric oncologist practicing at Seattle Children's. She specializes in pediatric blood disorders and bone-marrow transplants.

 

 



 

Robert G. Andrews, MD

Dr. Andrews is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist with special interest in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation who treats children with pediatric cancers, autoimmune diseases, and other genetic disorders.

 

 

 

K. Scott Baker, MD, MS

Dr. Baker is the director of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Survivorship Program, works with pediatric bone marrow transplantation patients at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and leads the pediatric survivorship program at Seattle Children's.

 

 

 

Michael A. Bender, MD, PhD

Dr. Bender's clinical expertise is in the biology and pathology of pediatric cancers, Sickle Cell Disease, and hemoglobinopathies.

 

 

 

Marie E. Bleakley, MD

Dr. Bleakley works as a pediatric oncologist specializing in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and the treatment of leukemia relapse.

 

 

 

Colleen S. Delaney, MD, MSC

Dr. Delaney's clinical specialties include Pediatric Oncology, Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation, and Pediatric Stem Cell Transplantation, Umbilical Cord Blood Transplantation, and Ex vivo Expansion of Hematopoietic Stem Cells

 

 

 

Dow M. Dunbar, M.P.H., M.S., PA-C

Dow Dunbar is a physician assistant who works with children and teens who have bone-marrow transplant treatment for their disease.

 

 

 

Thomas J. Manley, MD

Dr. Manley is a pediatric oncologist with expertise in stem cell transplantation (SCT). Research interests include the development of novel therapeutics for patients who relapse following allogeneic SCT.

 

 

 

Soheil Meshinchi, MD, PhD

Dr. Meshinchi is a hematology oncologist who treats children with high-risk leukemias.

 

 

 

Julie R. Park, MD

Dr. Park is program director for Seattle Children's Hematology/Oncology Education. She specializes in caring for children with neurblastoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

 

 

 

Joan M. Suver, PA-C

Joan Suver is a physician assistant who cares for pediatric oncology patients who receive bone marrow transplants.

 

 

 

Monica S. Thakar, MD

Dr. Thakar is a pediatric hematology-oncologist who specializes in the treatment of children with Fanconi anemia.
