O'Donnell, MD, PhD Dr. O'Donnell is the medical director of the Inpatient Transplant Service and is also a researcher in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, working on leading-edge research using alternative donors for bone-marrow transplantation. 	Karen L. Syrjala, PhD Dr. Syrjala is Director of Behavioral Sciences and co-director of the Survivorship Program. Her focus is on helping people recognize their strengths and take charge of their health during treatment and long-term survival.
	E. Donnall Thomas, MD Dr. Thomas is a Nobel Prize winner for his pioneering research on bone-marrow transplantation. He was the first to show that bone marrow could be safely infused into a human patient to treat leukemia.
