Autoimmune Diseases

Our Doctors

The doctors and specialists at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) are among the best in the nation and have access to the latest therapies and treatments.

Teams of researchers and clinical specialists are investigating new ways of treating autoimmune diseases. Those include neurologists, rheumatologists, and transplant specialists at SCCA partner institutions, University of Washington Medicine, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and Children's Hospital Regional Medical Center.

As our patient, your medical care is managed by a group of physicians with a special interest in autoimmune diseases.

Transplant specialists convene on a regular basis to discuss patient safety, patient progress, treatment changes, and research protocol efficacy.

The SCCA team of physicians provides education to patients and their families about their disease, ongoing treatment, recovery, and generally what to expect after returning home. They suggest measures to help prevent infection, discuss decisions to return to school or to full-time work and, in general, provide counseling where and when needed.

Staff experienced in managing long-term recovery is available to the referring physician and to the patient and his/her family.
