Our Founding Organizations
In 2001, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, UW Medicine, and Seattle Children's consolidated their adult and pediatric medical oncology/hematology clinical care programs into the separate, jointly governed Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA). Each of the three SCCA partners has equal ownership in SCCA.
Fred Hutch, home of three Nobel Prize laureates, is an independent, nonprofit research institution dedicated to the development and advancement of biomedical technology to eliminate cancer and other potentially fatal diseases.
University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC), a UW Medicine hospital, ranked fifth among the top hospitals in the United States for cancer treatment according to "U.S. News & World Report."
Seattle Children's is a pediatric community hospital for the Seattle area and the major regional pediatric referral center for the medical, surgical, and developmental needs of children.
