Volunteer Opportunities
Gift Shop Volunteers provide efficient and courteous service to Gift Shop customers and help maintain the clinic retail operation. Gift Shop scheduled to open in early Spring of 2008. More> Guest Services Volunteers provide a welcoming presence, information about Seattle, and assist patients and visitors in the SCCA Clinic. More> Volunteer Drivers transport patients and their caregivers to and from the airport. Drivers are needed at various times throughout the week. More> Volunteer Tour Guides assist consultation patients and families by providing tours of area housing options and our inpatient units. More> Volunteer Tutors help teachers meet the educational needs of school-aged patients and family members at the Hutch School. More> Pete Gross House Volunteers provide assistance to the management staff and residents of the Pete Gross House, a 69-unit apartment building where a number of SCCA patients and families reside during treatment. More> Child Life Volunteers offer companionship and diversionary activities such as crafts, games and storytelling for pediatric patients and patients’ family members (ages 0-18yrs) in the SCCA Clinic. More> Physical Therapy Volunteers assist the Physical Therapist and the department by supporting patients undergoing treatment at the SCCA. Volunteers observe treatment, clean equipment and provide clerical support. More> Volunteer Labyrinth Host provides a welcoming presence, information and brief instruction at the bi-monthly open labyrinth walk sponsored by the Pastoral Care Program. More> Patient Education and Resource Center Volunteers assist Patient Education staff in the production and assembling of packets/manuals and orient patients to the information available in the outpatient clinic’s Resource Center.
